Back by popular demand, the Summer Wellness Series returns to the recreation centre this month — a weekly lineup of practical, friendly talks on living well, led by health professionals from the on-site medical centre and guest speakers from the Guelph community.
This season's schedule:
- Week 1 — Eating for Energy: simple nutrition habits that make a real difference, with registered dietitian Petra Wickstrand;
- Week 2 — Healthy Joints, Happy Hips: mobility and strength for everyday life, with physiotherapist Devon Ashgrove;
- Week 3 — Sleep Well After 55: what changes, what helps, and what to skip;
- Week 4 — Brain Health Myths & Facts: memory, learning, and staying sharp, with Dr. Nira Solversen.
Talks run Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. in the clubhouse lounge. No registration needed — just come, bring a friend, and stay for coffee and questions afterward.
The series is free for residents and always fills the room; arrive a few minutes early for a good seat.
